Antique roof tile- antefix
The antefix, a decorative roof tile, was found during the excavations of the so-called Temple of Hercules in the layers from the Roman period in 1957-61 on the terrace of the St. Nicholas Hill in Celje. The antefixes of Roman roofs were often decorated, and the Celje antefix represents one of the most recognizable forms with a depiction of a human face.
